Strete Ralegh Farm is an ideal base for touring the Westcountry with Exeter and the M5 being only ten minutes drive away so giving easy access to many places of interest. Apart from the Cathedral City of Exeter itself there is also the coast of South Devon and Dorset, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks and a number of National Trust properties such as Killerton, Knightshayes and A La Ronde, all within easy reach.
The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are also both easily visited in a day trip as is the North coast of Devon with its surfing beaches. For more general information on Exeter and its surrounding area then see the
Heart of Devon website.
For those interested in visiting the Exe Estuary and its wonderful birdlife or for a boat trip along the Jurassic coast, the UK’s only natural World Heritage Site that lies between Exmouth in Devon and Studland Bay in Dorset, then Stuart Line Cruises offer a range of different trips.
A range of activities is also available nearby - golf, riding, fishing, swimming etc. as well as wonderful countryside to explore on foot or bicycle for those seeking some fresh air and exercise.
